The anchor over the St. Andrew’s Cross depicts the centrality of the Eucharist in the Disciples of Christ community. Gathered at the table each Sunday, we proclaim Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the living God.

The red, as in the Disciples of Christ logo, represents the blood shed for the sins of the world, and the white for his purity, for he knew no sin.

The St. Andrew’s Cross reflects the Scottish heritage of the Disciples church and reminds us that our call is to share the good news with all people.

We are anchored to the grace of Christ through this sacred part of our worship, and we are to remember Jesus and to live these essentials within our community.

From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. —John 1:16
