Week of Compassion Coin Boxes
We have received several coin boxes from the congregation for our Week of Compassion special day offering emphasis. If you have not turned in your coin box yet, please bring it this Sunday and place it in the basket at the front of the sanctuary. Don't forget to write your name on the coin box.
Week of Compassion is the relief, refugee and development mission fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada.
The funds collected help Week of Compassion to promote compassion and service within communities. The Week of Compassion for Disciples of Christ focuses on the following:
- Provides resources for disaster relief and humanitarian aid.
- Encourages congregations to engage in local and global service projects.
- Raises awareness about issues of poverty, hunger, and injustice.
- Supports partnerships with organizations working for social change.
- Inspires individuals to act with compassion in their daily lives.
- Offers educational materials to deepen understanding of global needs.
Please contact Judy Lester, Outreach Chair, or the church office if you have any questions about Week of Compassion.
