Sandra Jean Naylor
NOVEMBER 4, 1948 – MAY 27, 2026
We were recently notified of the death of Sandy Naylor. Sandy joined First Christian Church in 2001 and was an active member of our church family during the years she lived in Baton Rouge. Following the death of her husband in 2016, she moved to Destrehan to be near family.

Sandy had a gift for making everyone she met instantly feel like family, with a genuine warmth and kindness that was unmatched. Many of her daughters’ friends considered her a second mom growing up; her guidance and compassion extended far beyond family, and she became a trusted advisor and source of comfort to many people throughout her life.
|
A woman of deep Christian faith, Sandy’s personal relationship with God shaped how she cared for others. She truly never met a stranger and cherished her circle of friends. She loved her family deeply and was also known to have a special soft spot for dogs (particularly her Belgian Malinois, Ammeaux).

|
A celebration of life is expected to be held in July 2026, with details to be announced by the family at a later date.
