Please join us in bidding a fond farewell to Mary & Paul Thompson on Sunday, June 13, immediately following our worship service.

The General Board will be providing breakfast casseroles and dishes; our adult Sunday class will be providing fruits and veggies; and, our Elders will be stocking the sweets and pastry table. (The church will provide coffee, water, juice, and milk.) Please contact Carol Madere with offers of food or assistance.

This Sunday at First Christian Church

Rev. David Chisham begins a new sermon series from the first book of Samuel. In a very human and relatable storyline, we will examine people struggling with barrenness, power, and trusting God's direction.

Our Sunday worship is live, in the church sanctuary, and livestreamed to our website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel. We hope to see you there! You can sign in, enter prayer requests, and follow the service bulletin, here.

In light of the latest CDC and State health guidelines, as well as local testing rates, we have opened seating on the west side of the sanctuary, and mask usage remains optional on that side. The east side will remain marked for spacing and required mask usage. Please consider your own immunity and risk factors in your selection of seating.

We remain committed to providing our service online for those unable, for whatever reason, to join us in person. To join services online, on Sunday morning at 10 a.m., click the button below for your favorite online viewing platform:

Sunday Class for Adults

Dak McInnis facilitates the Adult Sunday class for an in-depth discussion of the sermon. The class meets both in person in the church library and via Zoom, immediately following the Sunday morning worship service (about 11:15 a.m.). Study notes will be available here, later this week. Attending via Zoom? Click the red button!
Our choirs will begin their rehearsal NEXT Wednesday, June 2, enjoying our first rehearsals in 15 months. All interested singers are invited to join!

Lucy Cody will lead the Women's Chorus with rehearsals on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. All ladies who enjoy singing are invited!

Our music director, Aaron Turnipseed, resumes rehearsals of the Chancel Choir on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. Adults — those who formerly sang with the Chancel Choir as well as those who may have discovered their voices during this time — are invited to join the FCC Chancel Choir.

Prayer for Memorial Day

O Judge of the nations, we remember before you with grateful hearts the men and women of our country who in the day of decision ventured much for the liberties we now enjoy. Grant that we may not rest until all the people of this land share the benefits of true freedom and gladly accept its disciplines. This we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
