We received word this morning that a church member received a text message supposedly from Rev. Dr. Dedrick Minor.
|
The text says that Rev. Dedrick is going into a meeting and requests that they let him know when they are available because Rev. Dedrick has something they want them to do for him. Typically, if the recipient replies, a follow up text asks that they purchase some prepaid debit cards for a project and email him the numbers and he will reimburse them for the costs.

DO NOT REPLY TO THESE TEXT MESSAGES -- THIS IS A SCAM. Rev. Dedrick would never request church members to purchase anything in this manner.
