Scam Emails

We received word that someone is sending out emails -- supposedly from Rev. Dedrick -- asking "What are your plans for today? I have a request for you to handle for me. I'll await your response."
|
These emails are NOT from Rev. Dedrick. If you look closely at the email address next to his name you will see that it is not the church email account for Rev. Dedrick.

Please DO NOT RESPOND to these fraudulent emails. We feel sure that if a response is sent the person will then ask for either money or for the responder to purchase gift cards for what may seem like a legitimate reason. They will then ask you to send them the "codes" to access those funds.

Rev. Dedrick has not and never will ask anyone from the congregation to purchase gift cards for him for any reason. All financial requests are handled through our normal channels by contacting the bookkeeper in the church office.
