Hosts Needed for
Ice Cream Social
and
Gospel & Jazz Concert
on Sunday, September 22nd

September 22 may be the first day of fall, but we are going to wish a fond farewell to summer with an Ice Cream Social in the Fellowship Hall followed by a Gospel & Jazz Concert in the sanctuary.
|
We have invited the clients and caretakers of the Arc Baton Rouge to attend both the ice cream social and the concert. The Arc Baton Rouge's mission is to improve the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, through advocacy, services, and support.
|
We are asking for volunteers to act as "hosts" for our ARC Baton Rouge guests. If you can help, you can sign up on the form in the narthex or reply to this email.
|
The ice cream social begins at 5 p.m. The Gospel & Jazz Concert follows at 6 p.m. Please contribute your favorite ice cream or cupcakes, cookies, or brownies. Please bring enough for our guests, too.

Also, if you have someone you have been wanting to invite to church, this would be a great opportunity to do so.
|
Remember, you can't buy happiness, but you can buy ice cream, which is pretty much the same thing!
