Consecration Day 2023

Thoughts and reflections on looking forward to Consecration Day coming up on Sunday, October 15th, 2023.
|
At our most recent board meeting, we spent the majority of our time discussing how our FCC family can reach our local community and what our role should be in our community. All of our Board Members are very excited about the opportunities discussed in the meeting and the growth that will come for our congegration in focusing on our community next year. All of this meshes quite well with our Consecration theme this year which is “From Bread and Cup to Faith and Giving”.
Jesus has expectations of us. He expects us to do more than just come to church on Sunday morning, enjoy Dedrick’s sermon, partake of communion, and then go about our normal daily tasks. I believe He expects us to share our abilities, our financial resources, and our emotional support to those beyond our eight walls (our sanctuary is an octagon). I believe Jesus expects us to represent him in our community. I believe He expects us to be his hands and voice.
