Local Outreach
Reaching out and connecting with the community has always been an important part of the ministry of First Christian Church which is why we support a wide variety of missions and ministries. Here are just some of the ways we are involved in ministry to the local community beyond our doorsteps.

We are very involved with Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS) and supporting Westminster Elementary School. Click here for more information about our partnership with VIPS and Westminster.
Outreach Giving
Each year, FCC BRLA designates over 3% of its budget to financial outreach in the local Baton Rouge area, totalling nearly $8,000. Additionally, in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina (2005) and Gustav (2008), we have helped direct over $40,000 in Disciples of Christ Week of Compassion hurricane relief funds to the Baton Rouge area.
